On 24 April 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Professor Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of Multimedia University (MMU) and Mr. Nilson Chong Sin Hau, Founder and Director of Nichcom Go Sdn. Bhd., who is also our Permata Dunia. The pact has strengthened the university’s collaboration with industry partners, particularly in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in Malaysia.
It also reaffirms MMU’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and advancing research in EV charging services and related technologies. Both parties will join forces and focus on two elements namely establishing the EV charging stations as well as developing educational initiatives to raise awareness about EV facilities and charging events. By fostering knowledge and understanding, MMU and Nichcomm Go Sdn Bhd aimed to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and drive positive change among the community.
Among other event attendees were Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience & Entrepreneurship Development (VP SEED), Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Junaidi Abdullah, Dean of Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ooi Chee Pun, Dean of Faculty of Engineering (FOE), Assoc. Overall, this MoU marks the beginning of an exciting collaboration that has the potential to shape the future of the EV industry in Malaysia while nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs in this transformative sector.
