A delegation of seven representatives from the University of Indonesia embarked on a visit to the Faculty of Business at Melaka campus on 21 February2024. Led by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdillah Ahsan, the delegation members were warmly welcomed by Dr. Siti Zakiah, the FOB dean.
The visit commenced with a tour of the innovative iTrade Lab, where the delegates were provided with insights into the diverse programs offered by the faculty. Subsequently, a discussion was held regarding potential research collaborations between the two esteemed institutions, spearheaded by Prof. Dr. Solarin and Dr. Santhi Ramanathan. This session illuminated the promising avenues for collaboration across various academic disciplines, laying the groundwork for future joint endeavors.
Following a delightful lunch, the delegation was guided through a tour of several significant sites within MMU Melaka. Highlights included visits to the Siti Hasmah Digital Library (SHDL), Rimbun Ilmu, the CLC, and the iconic President’s Square.
This immersive experience not only showcased academic and cultural richness but also fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation of the institution’s commitment to innovation and community engagement. As the day concluded, the delegates departed for Kuala Lumpur, carrying with them newfound insights and prospects for fruitful collaborations between the University of Indonesia and MMU.
