On 5 March 2024, the Research Management Centre (RMC) with the support of MMU Press and Technology Transfer Office (TTO) held a recognition ceremony to celebrate the research excellence for the 4th Quarter of 2023.
The event, which was graced by the presence of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, gathered the top researchers from both Melaka and Cyberjaya campuses. In his speech, Prof. Dato’ congratulated the extraordinary efforts of MMU’s researchers in increasing the number of publications in SCOPUS, supporting MMU Press journals as well as securing successful patent-filing for their invention projects.
A total of 94 researchers from various faculties received the Scopus Publication Reward awards, three recipients for the MMU Press publication and 5 recipients for the Innovation Award. Additionally, the faculties management effort in driving research among their members were also recognised in the 2023 Outstanding Faculty Research Award.
Dr. Sharlene Thiagarajah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TM R&D, Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Director of RMC, Prof. Dr. Tan Siow Hooi, Director of MMU Press, Dr. Olivia Tan Swee Leng, Director of TTO, TMR&D Leaders, COE Heads and MMU staff also attended the event. It is hoped that these recognitions will continue to inspire our researchers to embark and create more projects and inventions in the future.
