Masjid Al-Irsyad MMU Melaka launched a fundraising campaign in an effort to assist those who are affected by the ongoing crisis in Gaza. This campaign exemplified the mosque’s commitment to humanitarian causes. Dr. Azlan Abd. Aziz, the chairman of Al-Irsyad Islamic Centre (AIIC) presented the campaign contribution of RM5,000 to Mr. Mohd Amir Izat Mhd Rozi from Persatuan Cinta Gaza Malaysia (CGM) on 5 February 2024.

Established in 2014 by Nadir Al-Nuri, CGM serves as a vital non-governmental organisation (NGO) to support the Gaza community. Since its inception, CGM has significantly impacted the lives of countless Gaza residents, providing essential aid through diverse seasonal and long-term projects. These initiatives aim to alleviate the hardships faced by the local population, reflecting CGM’s unwavering dedication to humanitarian efforts.

AIIC extends its heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming response from the community who have contributed financially to this cause. Moving forward, the MMU Mosque remains committed to supporting CGM’s initiatives, encouraging direct financial contributions to the mosque fund to sustain ongoing humanitarian efforts.
