A handover ceremony on disaster relief by Yayasan Perkasa Siswa (YPS) and MMU was held at the Cyberjaya campus on 1 February 2024. Coordinated by the Student Lifestyle and Experience (STyLE), the event was attended by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU; Mr. Kaliyapan Rajakumaran, Manager II of YPS; Mdm Sri Kusuma Wati Mohd Daud, Director of Style; Mr. Thaniges Kumar, President of Students’ Representative Council (SRC); Ms Ong Jing Ling, Member of the YPS Board of Trustees and other staff.
In this ceremony, YPS contributed RM14,000 to assist the students who were affected by the flood in November last year. MMU through STyLE also channelled relief to the students with the Student Welfare Fund Scheme. The students’ welfare is the university’ priority to ensure their well-being and meaningful experience throughout their study at MMU. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham also expressed his gratitude to the YPS for the financial support rendered by the foundation to the students of MMU.
