On 11 January 2024, students from the BEN2074 (undergraduate) and BEN7154 (postgraduate) Entrepreneurship classes under Dr Mohd Fairuz bin Abd Rahim hosted an industrial talk by Mr Megat Kamil Azman bin Megat Ahmad Zaki, who is the Director and co-founder of Sixma Group. Mr Megat is an MMU Permata Dunia, graduating with a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) from the Faculty of Management (FOM) in 2004.
It was an insightful and engaging session with the speaker sharing how his life as an MMU student shaped his entrepreneurial mindset and interest. Among the key points highlighted are students must learn to accept rejection, make a lot of friends, take failures as lessons, learn to leverage as well as understand people. The event was also graced by the attendance of Dr Hasni Hanafi (Deputy Dean, Academic and International Relation, FOM), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Jeen Wei (Director, Alumni, Career and Entrepreneurship Development, MMU), and Mr Baktiar Hasnan (Centre for Alumni, MMU).
