The Faculty of Management (FOM) hosted a “Mini iCadet Career Fair” in collaboration with Internet Alliance Malaysia on 24 November 2023 at the Cyberjaya campus. Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun Sarwar, Deputy Dean of Student Experience and Alumni, and Ms. Yap Yee Yann, iCadet Coordinator for FOM, extended a warm welcome to esteemed guests on behalf of the faculty.
The event commenced with a welcome address from Prof Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoint (MEET), followed by a speech from Dr. Sunny Ooi, President of Internet Alliance Malaysia. A total of 17 companies actively participated in the career fair. Internet Alliance Malaysia and its member companies took the opportunity to introduce iCadet programs to FOM students.
Recognising the pivotal role career fairs play in professional development and job-seeking processes for both employers and job seekers, a panel discussion on “How to be relevant in the current industry?” was also held during the event. Industry experts elaborated on the significance of graduating as industry-ready professionals for the benefit of the students.
FOM’s organisation of this event proved to be a transformative experience for both students and employers. This exclusive gathering served as a dynamic platform for students to explore exciting career opportunities and engage with leading companies in our industry.
