Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU was honoured to be invited as a guest for the MCMC Capacity Development Conference (CDC) 2023 Awards Night at Grand Hyatt, Kuala Lumpur on 11 October 2023. Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din, Chairman of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) delivered his welcoming remarks to the event attendees.
Officiated by YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications and Digital, the event served as a platform to appreciate and recognise the key stakeholders involved in realising MCMC’s capacity development programmes. In addition, MMU is one of the universities chosen by MCMC to curate a series of Microcredential courses and played a significant role by providing modules on Cyberlaw, which were expertly overseen by Dr. Bahma Sivasubramaniam from the Faculty of Management (FOM)
The MMU President also accompanied the Minister in presenting awards to outstanding participants of the Converged Telecommunications Policy and Regulations Masterclass (MCTPR) 2023. The MCTPR programme is a joint effort by MCMC, MMU and the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) of London. Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa, the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Communications and Digital, key MCMC Commissioners and officials also attended the event.
MMU is indeed privileged to be part of this important project by MCMC, contributing to capacity development and education in the field of communications and digital technology.
