Multimedia University (MMU) through its Alumni Engagement, Career, and Entrepreneurship (ACE) hosted an appreciation event for industry partners at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on 3 October 2023. The event was officiated by Puan Sarinah Abu Bakar, Chief Human Capital Officer of Telekom Malaysia (TM). Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, the President of MMU, also attended the event, along with Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development (VP SEED).
The event celebrated 48 award recipients in several categories, including Student Engagements, Graduates Development, Graduates Employment, Supportive iCadet Partners, and Supportive Professional Partners which were presented by Puan Sarinah Abu Bakar, the CHCO of TM. ZTE (Malaysia) Corporation Sdn Bhd was honoured with the Grand Industry Appreciation Award during the event. ZTE received the award for their continuous support through industry-grade network equipment and labs, scholarships, and other contributions.
Also present were Nizam Razak, CEO of Animonsta Studios (Creators of Mechamato and BoBoiBoy); Usamah Zaid, CEO of Wau Animation (Creators of Ejen Ali); Steven Ge, CEO of ZTE Malaysia; as well as Top Officials and Management representatives from Huawei Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd, InvestKL Corporation, Ernst & Young (EY) Malaysia, KPMG PLT Malaysia, PwC Malaysia, Malaysia Aviation Group, and KRU Entertainment, among others. It is hoped that the industry-academia linkage will be reinforced and maintained for the growth and development of all involved parties.
