A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between Multimedia University (MMU) and Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) was held at MMU Cinema, Cyberjaya campus on 18 August 2023. The signatories were Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU and Dato’ Mohd Khalis Abdul Rahim, Group Chief Human Capital Officer of MAG. It was witnessed by Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement, and Touchpoint (VP MEET), and Puan Norhayati Hanapiah, General Manager of Human Capital of MAG.
The pact signifies the cooperation between both parties in employability programmes, joint research projects, and other initiatives that promote the development of knowledge and skills relevant to students’ future careers. MAG is also one of the iCADET partners, where this global aviation organisation offers a first-class encyclopaedic experience through the MAGiC programme.
The event also witnessed the appointment of Dato’ Khalis as the Adjunct Professor for the Faculty of Management. Prof. Ir. Dr. Wong Hin Yong, Vice President of Academic and Innovation Learning (VP AIR) made an introductory presentation of Dato’ Khalis professional background to the audience of the event. We at MMU believe that with his expertise and wealth of experience, the students especially in the Human Resources and Management programmes would receive immense benefits from this appointment.
The session continued with the MAG Unplugged Session, where three panellists including Dato’ Khalis expounded on an interesting topic, MAG Transformation Story. The audience also had the opportunity to ask questions to the panellists during the session. It is hoped that more engagement initiatives could be curated between MMU and MAG to reinforce the university-industry collaboration and provide the best industrial exposure to our beloved students.
