FOL Student Wins National Junior Chess Championship 2023

Let us extend our heartiest congratulations to Chua Jia Tien, our student from the Faculty of Law (FOL) emerged as champion at the National Junior Chess Championship 2023 on 20 August 2023 in Perak. This special event, organised by the Malaysian Chess Federation, gathered 19 skilled players under 20. Amidst this competition, Jia Tien’s brilliance stood out, earning her the championship title.

Jia Tien’s achievements include winning gold medals for Malaysia in Thailand recently. This year, she has continued her success, making her a rising star in the world of chess.  Jia Tien will be representing Malaysia in the Eastern Asian Juniors under 20, which will be held in Sabah this December.
