A group of Media Arts students from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia produced an enchanting LED sculpture called “SYNAPTIC LUMINANCE,” where it brilliantly illuminates creative visions in motion. This dynamic display of lights and colours mesmerises viewers, inviting the audience to embark on a sensory journey. It also explores the convergence of visual art, sound, and technology to create an immersive sensory experience.

This installation features ten LED pillars that come together to form a captivating tessellation, pulsating with vibrant hues and dynamic patterns. Each pillar serves as a conduit for an intricate web of audiovisual media content, inviting viewers to delve into a realm where perception and imagination intertwine. Drawing inspiration from the complex networks of neurons in the human brain, SYNAPTIC LUMINANCE seeks to evoke a sense of interconnectedness and the fluidity of thoughts and emotions. The LED pillars act as visual representations of these neural pathways, visually stimulating viewers and encouraging them to contemplate the intricate nature of human cognition.
