FCM Students Bag Multiple Awards in HONOR Talents 2022 Global Design Competition

Let us extend our heartiest congratulations to three students from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) who won global recognition in the recent HONOR Talents 2022 Global Design Competition. The three designs that received global awards were ‘Celestial’ by Shahd Ashraf who clinched third place in the wallpaper category; ‘Arise’ by Nicole Chuan Ke Li won second place in the foldable wallpapers category and ‘Honor Watch’ by Afnan Ali Saleh Saad who won Best New Talent. The winners received HONOR items and cash prizes during the prize-giving ceremony held at the Cyberjaya campus in December 2022. 

On top of that, several other designs were selected at the university level and received amazing prizes from HONOR. In addition, the Dean of FCM, Ts. Dr. Lim Kok Yoong and Ms. Nadia Mahmud, the Deputy Dean of Academic and Innovative Learning were invited to exhibit their artwork titled ‘Miscible Breach’ in the launch Experience Zone during the official launch of HONOR Talents 2022 Global Design Award. 

Organised by HONOR, a leading global provider of smart devices, the competition attracted thousands of designs worldwide. The designs were evaluated by a panel of renowned photographers and industry experts, evaluating categories of wallpapers, foldable wallpapers, watches, open designs, AR interactive artwork design, and interactive art installation design. The competition is dedicated to bringing together young pioneer artistic creations with the aim to mobilise the rich resources of the HONOR brand, support, empower and preserve the originality of innovative design.
