A group of 30 Robotics and Mechanical Engineering students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) visited Mybrush Industries Sdn. Bhd., recently. The students were accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ervina Efzan Mhd Noor and Dr. Palanisamy Chockalingam. The event kicked off with a speech by Dato Lee Fook Yuen, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), followed by a visit to their manufacturing and assembly plant. The students gained exposure and first-hand knowledge on the LSR Moulding, Plastic Injection Moulding, Design/ fabrication of moulds by Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), Engineering Brush Manufacturing, Assembly of parts and others.
The visit continued with Mr. Tan Sook Wee, Assistant General Manager with a sharing session on the engineering activities of the manufacturing technology centre to the students. Before the visit ended, the students were also given new insights by Mr. Muhammad Ridzwan Clement, Quality Control Director of Total Quality Management. Industrial exposure is crucial for students to understand theoretical knowledge into the application of the knowledge. It is hoped that the students obtained valuable and coherent information that would help their engineering studies.
