Two MMU teams which represented by Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) start-ups namely Raya and Bear Necessities were shortlisted as finalists at the ‘Pertandingan Usahawan Inovasi 2022’, recently. Team Raya, which consisted of Muhammad Hafizuddin Hayat Abd. Rani and Goh Wei Heng was selected in the Top 10, while Bear Necessities represented by Muhammad Najmi Arif Mohd Rosley and Geralyn Ting Yik Huey were placed in the Top 30.
More than 60 participating teams from various institutes of higher education institutions including local universities, private universities, polytechnics, and community colleges joined the competition. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU attended the final pitch to support MMU teams for this competition. Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development, Mr. Quek Albert and Ms. Putri Syaidatul Akma Mohd Adzmi from Alumni Engagement, Career and Entrepreneurship Development (ACED) together with other MMU staff were present during the closing ceremony of the event.
