Multimedia University (MMU) hosted its Convocation Ceremony on 26th November until 28th November 2022 at the Cyberjaya campus. More than 3000 graduates received their scroll from YBhg Academician Tan Sri Dr. Zakri Abdul Hamid, Pro-Chancellor of MMU. The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU.
The first session of the ceremony was graced by the presence of YABhg. Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, Ibu Universiti and the former Chancellor of MMU; YBrs. En. Imri Mokhtar, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM.; former MMU Presidents and other dignitaries from other universities together with MMU management committee members and senate members.
The session also witnessed the announcement of Chancellor’s Award, President’s Award and Permata Award recipients. The Chancellor’s Award was conferred to Ms. Siti Jamila Syuhada Jailani from the Faculty of Business (FOB), while President’s Award was given to Ms. Neha Bhubhindar Singh from the Faculty of Management (FOM). They also received the Permata- ACCA Award.
Other Permata Award recipients were Loo Sing Ying, from the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA); Khoo Hui Wen and Matthew Teng Kit Khinn (BEM President Award); Eunice Lim Eu Nee (Harold M. Thwaites Creative Multimedia Award); Chang Kai Boon (Huawei Innovation Award); Tey Wan Teng (Infineon Industrial Award); Auni Kamalia Nor Mohd Faridz (Liz Kamaruddin Communication Excellence Award) and Jovine Ling See Wey (Tun Azmi Foundation Award).
The three-day convocation honoured 43 graduates of Doctor of Philosophy, 116 Master’s Degree, 2,303 Bachelor’s Degree and the remaining 815 received their Diploma. This ceremony was the second convocation in 2022 after the first ceremony which was held in March 2022 for Class 2020 and 2021 graduates.
