International Business Programme students hosted several industrial talks featuring speakers from Top Glove, Huawei, PETRONAS, Proton, and a successful start-up by MMU Alumni, Ones platform virtually in the first two weeks of November 2022. The talks exposed the students to insightful knowledge with interesting topics including ‘Data as the New Norm’, ‘Sales Strategy’, ‘Empower better Fresh Graduates-from Zero to Hero’, ‘ISO 14001’, and ‘Technology: The Future Business’.
Mr. Thasaranthan from Top Glove shared the need for environmental management systems and their impact on society. Mr. Wilson Goh from Ones Platform shared the importance of big data and digital marketing in future businesses. Additionally, Mr. Steve and Mr. Vijay from Huawei shared about data security and the future technology that will be applied in the business world. The students also gained insights into the industrial’s job requirements and how to ace an interview with Mr. Darwis from PETRONAS.
The last session was conducted by Mr. Amir from Proton, where he shared the ‘New’ sales strategy and the upcoming automobile with the participants. All in all, the speakers gave advice and tips to be successful from the industrial perspective. The talk sessions also were very engaging and interactive as the participants partook in Q&A sessions.
