On 18th October 2022, MMU and Telekom Malaysia (TM) via its Group Risk Management showed the support for government’s initiative in making Malaysia green through the 100 Million Trees Campaign at the Cyberjaya campus. A group of MMU staff and students, led by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, MMU President together with TM representatives convened to plant trees at MMULand.
This campaign emphasises the vital roles that forest plays in our ecosystem services and biodiversity conservation. It also helps the nation to focus on restoring forest connectivity as part of the collective effort in implementing a powerful nature-based solution to climate change. Also attending the event were Mr. Mohamad Mohamad Zain, Chief Risk Officer of TM; Ms. Hayati Othman, Senior Director of Human Capital Management; Puan Sri Kusuma Wati Mohd Daud, Director of Student Experience and Lifestye (STyLE) and representatives from Yayasan Hijau Malaysia.
