A historic moment was created on 21st September 2022 when MMU, Taylor’s University, Higher Colleges of Technology, United Arab Emirates (HCT), One Medic Sdn. Bhd, and National Economy Digital Movement Association (NEDMA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on B’Health project, focusing on the area of blockchain technology for the healthcare industry. The ceremony was graced with the presence of Yang Berhormat (YB) Datuk Hj. Rais Datuk Wira Yasin, Melaka State Executive Council (EXCO) for Education, Technology and Telecommunication to witness the event at the Melaka campus.
The pact was signed by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU; Prof. Dr. Pradeep Nair, Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Chief Academic Officer, Taylor’s University; Datuk Sri Dr. Ahmad Zarif Mohd Yusof, Executive Director of One Medic Sdn. Bhd.; Dato’ Mohd Fakhruddin Md Noor, President of NEDMA and a representative from HCT followed the session virtually.
Through this pact, the collaborative initiatives are continued through the Center for Intelligent Cloud Computing, Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST) which has members working on blockchain technology since 2019. Hence, this signing ceremony is very significant to the university to continue collaborating with the partners in strengthening the relationship as well as to explore extensive opportunities. It is hoped that this collaboration would create values and benefit the institutions involved and the community.
