More than 20 MMU alumni founders gathered for Founders Meet and Greet and the Launch of Permata Dunia Business Network and Weekend Picnic by the Lake at MMU Cyberpark, Cyberjaya campus on 24th September 2022. Organised by the Alumni Engagement, Career and Entrepreneurship Development (ACE), Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU attended the event to meet with Permata Dunia.
The event served as an avenue for MMU Alumni founders to build a business network as well as a chance to make new memories. Prof. Dato’ Mazliham also officiated the launch of Permata Dunia Business Network, a new platform for all alumni to share their business information and details with the MMU & TM community as well as the general public. This directory benefits those who are looking for services and products from MMU alumni.
On top of that, the event also launched ‘Weekend Picnic by the Lake’, initiated by our alumni, Mr. Izham Fitri, Chief Executive Officer of Tho Mem Group Sdn. Bhd. where the public is introduced to MMU Cyberlake and engaged the audience with interesting activities including a mini zoo, fishing, archery, cycling, an inflatable playground, and others. More activities are being planned for the public to come and enjoy the scenery of our Cyberpark.
The event also witnessed the election of MMU Alumni Founders leader, where Mr. Steven Low Kang Wen from Agmo Studio was selected to lead the club. Also attending the event were Datuk Salmah Hayati Ghazali, MMU Entrepreneurship Advisor; Prof. Dr. Wong Hin Yong, Vice President of Academic and International Relations (AIR) Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development (SEED); Mr. Zambri Pawanchik, Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Recruitment and Admission (SMART); Dr. Ong Jeen Wei, Director of ACE, Faculty Deans and MMU officers.
