The Faculty of Business (FOB) and JCI Malacca City Entrepreneur (JCI MCE) jointly organised a Knowledge Transfer Programme titled Business Intelligence with Microsoft Power BI. Dr. Lye Chun Teck, the Dean of FOB, and Ms. Valerie Ngoh, JCI MCE President, officiated the programme, which was aimed to impart knowledge concerning Power BI for generating visualization and strategic business insights from big data.
The 4-week online workshop ran every Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m from 13th August 2022 to 3rd September. The programme featured Dr. Tan Khong Sin, a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Business, as the primary trainer, alongside facilitators Dr. Liew Tze Wei, Dr. Gan Chin Lay, Dr. Yuen Yee Yen, and Ms.Cynthia Lim Tze Ming. More than 100 participants from the e-commerce and entrepreneurship domains engaged in the workshop and conveyed their appreciation and positive feedback. The post-event survey report indicates that the participants are adopting the new knowledge of Power BI within their professional business and management environments.
