Under the flagship project’s initiative to improve the student’s learning experience and exposure to the real engineering world, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) hosted a joint lecture activity with the quality team of its industry partner, Mybrush Industries Sdn Bhd, recently. The session was followed by 36 students of Mechanical Engineering students.
The quality team which consisted of Mr. Ridzwan Clement, Mr. Md Noh, Mr. Abd. Muis, Ms. Betty Yrawati, and Ms. Nornazariah delivered the lecture class related to Quality Management (QM). The students received valuable insights of the Total Quality Management (TQM), ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015, 7 Quality Control (QC) Tools, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), as well as Critical to Quality (CTQ) and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Prior to this event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between MMU and Mybrush Industries Sdn Bhd, which is effective for two years starting from 1st April 2022. More collaboration between two parties is being curated including Curriculum Embedment, Industry Handshake, and others.
