On 22nd June 2022, the Faculty of Management (FOM) successfully organised the first post-pandemic Physical Dean’s List Award Ceremony to recognise and honour the students from all majors for their academic excellence for two trimesters, 2110 & 2115. The event was held at the Central Lecture Complex (CLC) 1005. For some of the students, it was their first time being in the campus.
It is part of the faculty’s continuous initiatives to acknowledge the efforts and time put by the award recipients for their success, despite the challenging period of online classes. The ceremony was officiated by the Dean, Dr Mohd Fairuz bin Abd Rahim. In his speech, he congratulated the students’ achievements in making themselves and their parents proud, despite facing many predicaments and challenges in the new norm.
There were a total of 366 and 58 Dean’s List recipients for Term 2110 & 2115 respectively, encompassing students from 12 different programmes, including the Foundation in Management, Diploma in Finance, Diploma in Management, Bachelor of Analytical Economics, Bachelor of Business Management, Bachelor of Marketing, Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration (Management with Multimedia), Bachelor of Management (Distance Education), Bachelor of Enterprise Management Systems, Bachelor of Finance and Bachelor of Financial Engineering .
The faculty initiated the award to celebrate the exceptional scholarly achievements of the students who score 3.67 and above for their Grade Point Average (GPA) since 2018. This time, the awardees were invited to the physical session and celebrate with their loved ones at the campus. May the recipients’ achievements inspire and nurture positive competitiveness among the students of FOM.
