Faculty Hosts Technical Talk with Honda Assembly (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd

A group of students and staff from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) attended a virtual technical session entitled “Assembly Technology in the Automotive Industry” on 15th July 2022. The event was organised by Industrial Linkage Committee (ILC) of the faculty, and the talk session was conducted by Mr. Syahril M. Azmi from Honda Assembly (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.

Mr. Syahril, who has over twenty years of experience in the automotive industry, shared his overview of how vehicle components are assembled, the technology used as well as inspection. Besides that, the speaker explained the transition from students’ life to working individuals. He also shared the industry expectation for the new graduates. At the end of the session, Mr. Syahril also extended an invitation to MMU students to visit the Honda factory in Alor Gajah.
