On 9th June 2022, MMU received a one-day visit by the delegates from the Silpakorn University, Thailand. The delegates were led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nathaporn Karnjanapoomi, the Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology together with 5 faculty members and 7 students.
In the morning, the delegates paid a courtesy visit to the President of MMU, Professor Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd. Su’ud at the President’s Office, Cyberjaya campus. After the visit, the delegates were escorted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Goh Guan Gan, Director of Strategy and Quality Assurance (SQA) travelled to the Melaka campus and visited the Faculty of Business (FOB). FOB members, led by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Lye Chun Teck, greeted the delegation warmly.
A sharing session was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Waralak Vongdoiwang Siricharoen from Silpakorn University, on the topic entitled: “User interface – User experience for ICT Multi-Cultural Design”, at MMU future classroom, the Hybrid Learning Space (HySpace). The session was attended by a total of 50 FOB participants, where 34 of them participated via the online platform, and 16 attended physically.
The delegates also had the chance for a campus visit to FOB i-Biz Lab, Siti Hasmah Digital Library (SHDL), Rimbun Ilmu, MMU Common Lecture Complex (CLC), and President Square, and right after that, the delegates departed for a cultural tour around the Historic City of Melaka. In a nutshell, the visit was highly insightful and fruitful as the delegates were thrilled and surprised by MMU’s achievements and emphasised their desire to continue strengthening the relationship between MMU and Silpakorn University.
