On 31 March 2022, the students from the class of ECP2046 Computer Organization and Architecture, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) attended a virtual sharing session on ‘Importance of Automation in I.R. 4.0’ and ‘Architecture & Information Technology’. This session was also opened to students from other classes as well.

During the session, the speakers who were FET alumni, Ms Nurhawani Ahmad Zamri from Fujitsu Malaysia and Mr Aminurafiuddin Zulkifli from Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) shared their experience in the manufacturing industry and financial sector. Ms Nurhawani talked about the advancement of IC manufacturing and the challenges that arose, where the students were exposed to automated optical inspection machines. Meanwhile, Mr Amin spoke on how engineering training helps him in the financial sector’s IT architecture.

Through this sharing session it is hoped the students are able to see the broader view of the knowledge learnt in the classroom.
