FOB AND MMU CAREER CONNECT ORGANISE INDUSTRIAL TALK BY ALUMNI

On 6 April, 2022, Faculty of Business (FOB) along with MMU Career Connect organized an industrial talk entitled ‘Blockchain and the Future’ through a virtual session. The session, which was opened to students from other courses and academic staff as well.

The invited speaker was Mr Ahmad Fairuz Ali, alumni of MMU who is currently working as a Head of Data Analytics, Center of Excellence, Bank Islam Berhad. Mr Ahmad Fairuz Ali has shared the basics of blockchain and also the opportunities available in the future. The students were also exposed to how blockchain works in the banking sector.

Dr Lye Chun Teck, the Dean of FOB, started the session with an introductory speech. Also present were Dr Ong Jeen Wei from Alumni Engagement, Career and Entrepreneurship Development (ACE), Mr Mohd Qasmal Mohd Noor, from Group Human Resources, Bank Islam Berhad, Ms Nun Shwu Huey, the Deputy Dean of Academic and International Relations II, Faculty of Business.
