We would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to Mona Tamer, a second-year FCM Advertising Design student, for winning the Hamadaya’s Soy-It Design Contest, recently.
In partnership with MMU, Hamadaya (a premium halal Japanese sauce brand) launched a design contest for the students of FCM. The design contest ran for three weeks, with over 50 submissions received in total.
The contest was part of Hamadaya’s efforts to provide students with an opportunity to not only enhance their skill sets which in essence will provide them higher chances of employability post-graduation, but it is also to further cultivate their interest in the field through an industrial training program with the premium Japanese brand.
Mona Tamer received RM1,000 cash prize with her winning design featured on Hamadaya’s Aidilfitri 2022 limited edition product packaging. The contest concluded with a prize-giving ceremony and an industrial career talk by Ms Li Li Ho, Hamadaya’s Vice President of Marketing, and Ms Yan Lim, CEO of iOli Communications, on 24 April 2022. Gracing the event was Dr Lim Kok Yoong, the Dean of FCM. More than 80 FCM students benefited from the event, where the speakers shared valuable insights into applying for internships in the upcoming trimester. This is part of our Industry Handshake Program (IHP) and Industry Training Placement (ITP) to groom quality work-ready graduates through the incorporation of university-industry collaboration and partnership in the curriculum.
