A total of 50 staff and students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) participated in a webinar entitled “Sens-Ability: Saving to Investing”, which was conducted by Mr. Kevin Neoh, Securities Commission Licensed Financial Planner and Financial Advisor. The event was jointly organised by the faculty and Bursa Malaysia aimed at creating an awareness of financial well-being which is important to individuals, especially from the very beginning.
The speaker started the session by explaining the importance of budgets and managing debts in daily lives. The participants also were guided with the right mindset and informative skills on the process of saving towards investing. The participants also gained more information on personal finance including personal money management, budgeting, and savings. Mr. Kevin also shared some investing insights related to growing wealth as well as avoiding financial fraud such as scams. The session was also joined by Dr. Lye Chun Teck, Dean of FOB as well as Ms. Ummu Umairah and Ms. Faezah Othman, FOB lecturers.
