Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, the President of MMU graced the launching of Premiere Permata Dunia by MMU Orchestra on 22 February 2022. The event introduced the MMU orchestra team, which will be performing live in front of the audience this July. The event also showcased a recorded video of Permata Dunia’s song featuring Tun Siti Hasmah, our former Chancellor playing the violin together with the orchestra team. On top of that, the event was also enlivened with the performance of two songs by the MMU orchestra.
In his speech, Prof. Dato’ emphasised on the benefits of joining the orchestra where it can provide opportunities for students to socialise through practice activities and collaboration, encourages self-expression, and many others. Also attending the event were Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development (SEED); Puan Sri Kusuma Wati Mohd Daud, Director of Student Affairs Division (STAD), Ms. Jasmine Kang Rou You, President of MMU Orchestra, MMU staff and students.
