Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, the President of MMU was invited as one of the panelists in a forum entitled ‘Why 5G can be the difference-maker in education?’ at the 5G Tech 2021 Summit on 1 December 2021. Prof. Dato’ elaborated on the university’s role in embracing the 5G technology and how the education landscape is changed in terms of teaching and learning delivery with the use of augmented reality and virtual reality.

Held at JW Marriott Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, the hybrid forum was moderated by Mr. Carliff Rizal Carleel, Founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), YesHello, and other panelists namely Mr. Jim Lim, Executive Education Fellow, NUS; Soo-Young Lee, Ph.D. CTO, Artificial Language Intelligence, Inc. Professor Emeritus, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and Mr. Kaneshwaran Govindasamy, Founder & CEO of Global 5G Evolution also shared their insights and knowledge on the topic during the forum.

5G Tech 2021 Summit was a two-day event, where key experts from the 5G ecosystem highlighted how Malaysian industries can harness the ultra-fast connectivity of 5G to better serve the customers, offers new products and services, reduce cost and reinvent the business model. This hybrid event also aimed to explore 5G strategies for business leaders.
