Multimedia University (MMU) co-hosted the 15th IEEE Malaysia International Conference on Communications 2021 (MICC2021) together with IEEE Malaysia Communication Society & Vehicular Technology Society Joint Chapter and Universiti Teknologi MARA from 1 December until 2 December 2021. The opening ceremony was officiated by Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Research, Industrial Collaborations and Engagement (RICE) together with Prof. Ir Dr. Ahmad Asari Sulaiman from UiTM. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mardeni Roslee, the General Chair of the conference cum Deputy Director of Research Management Centre (RMC) also delivered his introduction remark to the participants from various countries such as Turkey, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and many more.
With its theme, “Emerging Technologies in IoT and 5G”, the conference provides a multidisciplinary platform for gathering scholars to share their ongoing research related to the Communication Engineering field. The conference was also supported by a strong and dedicated team from various varsities including MMU, UiTM, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).
The conference has significantly added value to the further research of the field, which enables scientists and researchers to get exposure to the latest developments and advancements in the technology and process. The closing ceremony was moderated by Mr. Khairil Anuar from MMU, and also present were the General Chair, Assoc. Prof. Dr Mardeni; Chapter Chair, Assoc. Prof.Ir. Dr. Mohamad Huzaimy Jusoh with 100 participants.
