We would like to offer our warmest congratulations to Team Ciel, a group of students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) namely Wong Puei Huei, Teh Yee Lin and Teo Siew Anne for winning third place at the International Business Case Competition 2021 on 2 December 2021. The team received a cash prize of RM2,000 and certificates of participation at the virtual competition.
Organised by the Graduate School of Business, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), the competition carried an interesting theme titled ‘Online Food Delivery: Staying Relevant in Turbulent Times’. The competition also served as an avenue that offers university students to propose innovative solutions to address the issues of doing business during, and perhaps long after, the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly as the Industry 4.0 environment takes hold. There were 33 participating groups from different varsities, and only 12 teams were selected to pitch their solutions to the distinguished judges at the final rounds. The CIEL team also expressed its gratitude to Dr. Yeo Sook Fern, lecturer of Strategic Marketing subject for initiating and taking charge of the team.
