We would like to share a recent achievement by our student, Muhammad Nabeel Shamime from the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI), who won third place at the E-Piala Menteri Pengajian Tinggi, Liga Bola Sepak IPT 2021. He received a cash prize of RM500, a medal and e-certificate. Muhammad Nabeel competed with other 11 varsities students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA).
Muhammad Nabeel beat other players and advanced to the semi-final and managed to secure third place. Organised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), the tournament was held in a virtual setting due to the pandemic situation. The tournament was held from 23rd until 24th October 2021 and used FIFA22 Ultimate Team as the competition platform. As a result, the UiTM representative won first place and the UniKL player secured second place for the championship.
