MMU and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) have sealed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in a virtual signing ceremony on 3 November 2021.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd. Su’ud, MMU President on behalf of the university and ICAEW President, William Brooks on behalf of the international professional accounting organization. Ms. Husna Hashim, the Head of Education, British High Commission Kuala Lumpur congratulated MMU and ICAEW for this collaborative effort that will benefit the students.
With the MoA, students from the Diploma in Accounting programme will have the opportunity to take the ICAEW Accounting exam during their studies. After graduating from the diploma programme and passing the ICAEW Accounting exam, they will be eligible to apply and acquire the Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB), which enables the students to be on a path to acquire the sought-after ICAEW Business, Finance and Professional (BFP) designation.
