The Faculty of Management (FOM) recently concluded the Virtual Global Exchange Programme (VGEP) with PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore, India. A total of 175 Master of Business Administration (MBA) students accompanied by two faculty members from PSG partook in the 14-day programme. Dr. Mohd Fairuz Abdul Rahim, the Dean of FOM delivered his welcoming address to the participants.

The programme which was developed and organised by FOM, comprised a combination of module learning, virtual brown bags and knowledge sharing sessions by industry experts. Among modules that were facilitated were The Malaysian Economic and Business Landscape, Entrepreneurship Essentials, Design Thinking for Innovation, The Hero’s Way, A Series of Seminars and Talks, Learning Bahasa Malaysia with Oh! My Malay series, Colored Brain Communication Skills and High-Performance Work Gamification Skills.

While, the knowledge sharing sessions included dialogues with industry experts from Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), TM One, Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MAICCI) and Akademi Usahawan Mikro. The participants also had some fun with learning the Malay language and Seminars on Cyberbullying. Some of the prominent speakers from the industry were Datuk Dr A.T. Kumararajah, Mr. Nedumaran, Mr. Navin Sinnathamby, En. Abdul Azharee Abdul Wahid, En. Khalil Hamis, Dato’ Selvam Krishnan and Dr. Bahma Sivasubramaniam. The participants gave positive feedback with genuine commendation and praise for the engaging, insightful as well as value-driven learning and educational experience during the programme.
