On 21 September 2021, Ms. Liz Kamaruddin, the Adjunct Professor of Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC) conducted the inaugural adjunct professorial talk on an interesting topic titled “Communicating in Uncharted Waters”. Moderated by Mr. Amir Iskandar, an alumnus from FAC, the session began with a welcoming remark from Dr. Ong Sue Lyn, the dean of FAC. The event was also supported by Centre for Alumni (CFA).
Ms. Liz, who is the Managing Director of FTI Consulting Malaysia, generously shared her perceptive insights, firsthand experiences and words of wisdom with the audience. Being a successful communication practitioner in the industry, she also advised the audience to always be on a learning curve as the learning process never ends for communicators. She also emphasised that the communication industry is a competitive field, and possessing great writing skills is a must to be an outstanding and excellent communication practitioner and business communicator. The professorial talk was streamed live via MMU social media platforms and Google Meet.
