A total of 104 International Business students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) experienced a virtual trip to Yakult, recently. The virtual visit was one of the requirements for students who are taking the International Trade and Policy subject to gain first-hand knowledge on standards required in a food and beverage industry.

Yakult was first introduced in Japan in 1935. In 2003, Yakult was officially established in Malaysia. By 2013, Yakult has expanded its business to East Malaysia. Yakult has among the highest concentration of probiotics compared to other probiotic products in the market. The students were briefed on the importance of the HACCP and Halal certification by Madam Sharifah Khairiyah Syd Ismail, a representative from Yakult.
