Multimedia University (MMU) and Fortinet initiated their collaborative effort to nurture talent development in the field of cybersecurity. The collaboration was formalised in a virtual session participated by both institutions on 5th August 2021. The event was attended by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, the President; Mr. Alex Loh, Country Manager of Fortinet Malaysia; Mr. Adam Guglielmo, Global Programme Manager of Fortinet; Prof. Dr. Ho Chin Kuan, Vice President of Academic and International Relations; Prof. Ts. Dr Lau Siong Hoe, Dean of Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST); Ts. Dr. Junaidi Abdullah, Dean of Faculty of Computing and Informatics, and MMU officers.
Fortinet, a reputable provider of cybersecurity solutions in Malaysia, has extended its invitation to MMU to be part of the Fortinet Security Academy Programme. The programme helps our students to prepare themselves for careers in network security via Fortinet’s industry-recognised certification. It will also benefit our academics where they will be certified under the Fortinet Network Security Expert Certification Programme. All in all, this industry collaboration helps the varsity to continue developing skilful digital talents that meet the industry’s expectations.
