Dr. Wendy Teoh Ming Yen, Dr. Yuen Yee Yen, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chong Chin Wei clinched a bronze medal at the International University Carnival on e-Learning (IUCEL) 2021 on 16 June 2021. The academic members of the Faculty of Business (FOB) and the Faculty of Management (FOM) participated in the Invention, Innovation & Design on e-Learning (IIDEL) competition for academics and students of higher education institutions in the event. More than 200 teams from higher learning institutions and polytechnic colleges participated in this prestigious event. Among the VIPs present were YB Dato’ Mansor Bin Othman (Deputy Minister of Higher Education Malaysia) and Prof. Dr. Shahimi Mohtar (Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic and International, Universiti Utara Malaysia).
The two-day competition was organised by Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) from 15 June until 16 June 2021. This virtual competition focuses on the best practices, innovations, research, and product showcases for e-Learning with four main categories namely IIDEL, PIP Teacher Competition, PIP Secondary School Student, and Primary School Student. With its theme “Leading Innovation through Digitalized Community” the participation was made through the paper presentation, poster and product presentation, research showcase, and attending practical workshop and showcase.
