MMU Lecturer Invited to Speak on Cyberbullying at Bar Council Webinar

Dr. Bahma Sivasubramaniam from the Faculty of Management (FOM) was invited by the Child Rights Committee of the Bar Council of Malaysia to speak at a webinar entitled Bullying: Is There a Need for an Anti-Bullying Act?  on 16 June 2021. Other panelists included Mdm Kasthuri Krishnan, a practising lawyer and a member of the Malaysian Bar and Deputy Superintendent of Police Puan Saroja Egambaram of the Crime Scene Investigation Unit, Forensic Laboratory, Criminal Investigation Department, Bukit Aman.

The webinar was moderated by Puan Santhi Balachandran, the Co-Chair of the Child Rights Committee. Dr. Bahma spoke on the need for an anti-cyberbullying law. The webinar was attended by more than 200 participants with another 2.4k following it on Facebook live.
