The Faculty of Business (FOB) through its Centre of e-Services, Entrepreneurship and Marketing (CESEM) organised a webinar session “Writing Research Articles for Academic Staff” by Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman on 18th June 2021. More than 60 academic staff and postgraduate students from private and public varsities as well as international participants from Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Taiwan joined the session.
Dr. Rahman is a Senior Lecturer of Behavioral Finance at the Universiti Malaya (UM). He is also a Visiting Professor at the Narxoz University, Kazakhstan, and the Management Science University (MSU), Malaysia. Dr. Rahman also served as a visiting faculty member for several terms at the Da Yeh University, Taiwan. On top of that, he also serves as a member of the Editorial Board for a few local and international journals. His areas of research interest include investment behaviour, financial decision making, and financial risk management. He has led several research projects including the Malaysian government grant (FGRS) and published over 50 research articles indexed in SSCI, Scopus, and Peer-reviewed journals. He has also authored several books and book chapters.
Dr. Rahman explained tips on how to write research articles easily, and he also shared his experience with the audience. The session was also engaging when several interests and concerns were raised by the participants. All in all, the session was great and participants received insightful information related to the research articles writing.
