FOB Student Wins “Pertandingan Menulis Rencana Akhbar” 2021

Jeffrey Quek Shue Yew, our student from the Faculty of Business (FOB) emerged as the champion in the Pertandingan Menulis Rencana Akhbar 2021, recently. Organised by SHIELD (Akademi Literasi Politik), their programme which called AjarDemokrasi, is an initiative to address the lack of literacy or education about politics among youth.

The competition gathers quality and creative write-ups as a platform for youths to voice out their opinions on the politics issues. For this competition, participants were required to write about corruption and there were two objectives namely to spread the awareness of the consequences of the corruption as well as to encourage youth on creative and critical writing. With his writing entitled “Hapus Rasuah, Tanggungjawab Bersama”, Jeffrey walked away with a cash prize of RM500.
