The Faculty of Business (FOB) and Centre for Alumni (CFA) hosted a virtual reunion 3R Homecoming 2021: Return-Reconnect-Reunite on 5th June 2021. A total of 106 alumni gathered and participated in a three-hour event, which served as an avenue for all returning alumni to reconnect as well as to make new connections with each other. The event commenced with a welcoming speech by Dr. Lye Chun Teck, the dean of FOB.
Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, the MMU President also attended the event to officiate the event. In his speech, Prof. Dato’ welcomed all alumni to stay connected with the alma mater and to support MMU as the ambassador as well as to share the industrial experience with fellow juniors. The event continued with the alumni sharing session by three alumni namely Dr. Lim Kwee Pheng who is also FOB ex-accounting lecturer serving the faculty for 20 years, Mr. Chua Wei Yao, and Pn. Sharifah Sarah Syed Mohamed Tahir. The event was also enlivened with the performance by the student and staff in between the sharing session.
Apart from that, the participants also engaged in a dialogue entitled “Role of Alumni in MMU Development”, which was moderated by Dr. Ong Jeen Wei, Director of Alumni Engagement, Career and Entrepreneurship Development (ACE). It is hoped more alumni engagement activities can be done in the future to strengthen the relationship between the alumni and alma mater.
Well done!
