A total of 300 students from the Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) participated in the Virtual Info Day on 5th May 2021. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, MMU President delivered his welcoming remarks to the participants. In his speech, Prof. Mazliham enlightened the students on the similarities between MMU and MCKK as well as encouraged them to explore their study interests for their future careers.
Apart from that, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Research, Industrial Collaborations and Engagement (VP RICE), who is also an alumnus of MCKK, shared his insights in “MCKK Alumni Sharing Session”. The students were also exposed to the courses during the faculties’ sharing session by Dr Lim Kok Yoong, Dean of Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM); Dr. Fazly Salleh Abbas, Dean of Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET); Prof. Dr. Lau Siong Hoe, Dean of Faculty of Information Science & Technology (FIST); Dr. Mohd Fairuz Abd Rahim, Dean of Faculty of Management (FOM) and Dr. Lye Chun Teck, Dean of Faculty of Business (FOB).
The engaging session was concluded with a note of appreciation by Datin Noorlindah Hassan, the Assistant General Manager of Government Relations and External Engagement Network (GREEN). Also attending this virtual event were MCKK senior management led by Mr. Mohd. Shahadan Abdul Rahman, the Principal; Datuk Dzulkifly Mohd Zain, representative Board of Governor & MCOBA, and other MCKK teachers. It is hoped that this initiative can be continued to serve as an avenue in introducing MMU to its future Permata Dunia.
