Faculty of Business (FOB) through its Banking and Finance department hosted two sessions of webinar sharing to a group of its academicians on 5th and 19th May 2021. The sessions were conducted by Prof. Janice How, a Professor of Finance at the School of Economics and Finance, Queensland University of Technology. Her research interests are primarily in corporate finance, with particular emphasis on corporate governance, capital raisings (IPOs and SEOs), analyst forecasts, payout policies, and political economy.

Prof. Janice shared her views on the teaching of finance subjects and the current trends in the finance field. She also explained further on the teaching approaches and examples for the subjects. The talk was then followed by Q&A session with the audience. The sessions were chaired by Dr. Venny Chong Sin Woon, the Head of the Banking and Finance department of FOB, and the events were graced by the presence of Dr. Ng Tuan Hock, the deputy dean of academic and international relations of FOB. The organiser hopes that these sharing sessions help our academicians to elevate their understanding on the current practices in the finance subject matter.
