We are proud to share that Mr. Terence Tan Gek Siang, an academic from the Faculty of Business (FOB), Ms. Shangeetha A/P Sukumaran and Ms. Yusliza Jamalut, postgraduate students from the Faculty of Management (FOM) were announced as winners for Young Investigator Award at the YSN-ASM International Scientific Virtual Conference (ISVC) 2021, recently.

Ms. Shangeetha won the Young Investigator Award for her paper titled “The Study of Factor Impacting the Cryptocurrency Adoption among Investors in Malaysia” for Track B, while Ms. Yusliza Jamalut emerged as the second runner-up for the same track for her paper entitled “Factors Affecting E-commerce Adoption among Agricultural Micro Small Medium Enterprise (MSME). Aside from that, Mr. Tan, who bagged the first runner-up, presented his paper entitled “Adoption of Self-Service Technologies (SSTs) among Retail Consumers in Malaysia: Moving Towards a Resilient Retail Sector Post Covid-19” for Track D in a separate three-minute pitching session.

The virtual conference featured more than 500 poster presentations from 6 tracks namely Track A: Health & Well-Being, Track B: Business Economics, Track C: Engineering & Energy Transition, Track D: Social Sciences & Humanities, Track E: Environmental Sciences & Information Technology and Track F: Agriculture & Food Security. This inaugural conference organised by Young Scientist Network Malaysia (YSN) and Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM), the event was participated by attendees from the United States, Germany, Jordan, Philippines, India, Singapore, Mali, Pakistan, and others.
