A webinar session titled “Scopus Indexed Publication: Good, Bad and Ugly Ways” with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Imran Mahmud from Daffodil International University, Bangladesh was conducted recently. Hosted by the Centre of e-Services, Entrepreneurship and Marketing (CESEM) from the Faculty of Business (FOB), the objective of the event was to gain tips and ways to publish papers in Scopus Indexed journals. Both academic staff and postgraduate students from MMU and other universities participated in the webinar.
The speaker of the webinar was Dr. Imran Mahmud is the Head and Associate Professor at Department Information Technology & Management and also Head-In Charge at the Department of Software Engineering. Previously, Dr. Imran was attached as a senior lecturer at the Graduate School of Business in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Apart from that, Dr. Imran is also a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Technology, Bandung (Indonesia) and Hong Kong Management Association (Hong Kong). He has several research papers published in the web of science (WoS) indexed and Scopus indexed journals in the field of technology management.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Imran shared the differences between good Scopus indexed and tips to write papers to well-known Scopus indexed journals. Moreover, the speaker also had some experiences with blacklisted journals as well as how to tackle the comments from journals’ reviewers. All in all, the session was engaging and fruitful for the participants.
