Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC) has successfully hosted its first and second cohorts of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) in an online mode, recently. For this year, the MTCP programme is focused on e-Learning in a New Normal: Inclusivity, Trends, and Familiarity. This training programme is in line with the national agenda in extending assistance to developing nations.
The first cohort group was participated by representatives from Maldives, Timor-Leste, Thailand, and Uzbekistan, meanwhile, the second cohort saw participation from Algeria, Mauritius, Morroco, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. The cohorts completed their modules in March and April 2021 respectively. The five-day event exposed the participants to the ideas of e-learning and the participants also were able to share its challenges to handle the e-learning in their respective countries.
Online learning or e-learning is the ‘new normal’ for teaching and learning delivery, hence it is a perfect platform for the participants to explore and gain more insights into e-learning. They also expressed their gratitude and appreciation as this programme is very recompensing and they were able to gather memorable experiences.
