Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mardeni Roslee from the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) received an appreciation when he was invited as a Keynote Speaker at the Wireless World Research Forum (WWRF), recently. With its theme “HyperConnectivity: Beyond 5G, Challenges & Opportunities”, the international Hybrid conference was supported by Huawei. The forum aimed at bringing together leaders from the industries to discuss on the key issues within the wireless community worldwide.
The event was officiated by Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Chairman, Dr Fadhlullah Suhaimi Abdul Malek together with Dr Nigel Jefferies, Chairman of the Wireless World Research Forum from the United Kingdom and Mario Maniewicz, Director of International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Geneva, Switzerland.
Among the key topics that were discussed during the conference were 5G, moving forward to 6G, challenges and opportunities in the area of 5G and beyond, Smart Cities and IOT, Smart Healthcare, and Smart Vehicles. This big conference comprising of 55 members constituting of organisations, research institutes, universities and individuals. The event involved participants from United Kingdom, Italy, France, Greece, Ukraine, Germany, Denmark, Romania, Croatia, and many more.
